The stadium Santiago Bernabeu felt silent. After the
great environment lived by their fans with the triumph vs the Barcelona on last
Saturday in Catalonia, and the elimination the day before of their maximum
rival, the Barcelona, on hand of the Chelsea, there was reason to imagine a big
party, at home, and the pass to the final of the Champions League, but neither
this could happen.
The Real Madrid was eliminated by penalties after a
very intense match, that did not have many situation of goal but had going and
coming, an enormous physical display, with additional time of thirty minutes
that added the thrill, and a strange definition by penalties where who fell was
nothing less but Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaká, as Messi did the other day in
another semi-final.
