Would Mourinho be able to repeat in the Real Madrid the campaign of the Inter? (Yahoo)

Now surely the Portuguese, José Mourinho perhaps is thinking that his history repeats and one wonders how many times same will appear in his future, being him a young coach. His second title as champion of Europe, this time with the Inter in Santiago Bernabeu, that probable will be his as from the next season, it sounds as farewell as when in 2004 he won the Champions with the Porto, knowing that his destiny has been already pre-fixed with the Chelsea.
The hug of the euphoric Inter’s president, Massimo Moratti, in the middle of the celebration put Mourinho in trouble who, though had not say yet goodbye to the Italians, he stated it clearly to the Spanish press, that waits for him as those in love in spring. “I am not at ease in Italy, New Year, New Life”.
The sport newspapers of Madrid are announcing even the details of the agreement between Mourinho that every day is quoted higher and a Real Madrid despaired to obtain a trophy to end with this incredible bad luck for a club that wasted over three hundred millions Euros in registrations for the last season only.
It does not seem far from those days of 2004 in Gelsenkirchen, when the Porto destroyed Monaco, but few hours later, Mourinho was already flying in the plain of the Russian magnate Roman Abramovich and arrived to an agreement to conduce a Chelsea which though did not won the Champions, marked an era in the European football.
It was not important for Mourinho to receive the ironic shouts of “translator, translator” in a Camp Nou he knows thoroughly, from the time he arrived actually as a translator with the technical team of Bobby Robson and many sustain that as collaborator, his reports on the tactical movements of the rivals were distinguished to be published in encyclopedias. In that way he worked in the Barcelona and he even reached to share bench substitutes with the rival coach of the final of Bernabeu, Louis Van Gaal, who hours before, also seemed to minimize him: “I did not believe he will arrive so far”.
But Mourinho arrived, with scarcely forty seven years to the summit of the World football, taking the responsibility to conduce an Inter which though had ended his years of scudettos loser (in many cases suffering arbitral irregularities that sent Juventus to the Second) but they could not enter as European potency and so it ended with Roberto Mancini and bet for the Portuguese awaiting to give, at last, the great jump.
And Mourinho availed to the perfection a great team, paradoxically almost without Italians (only there are the veteran defender Marco Materazzi and Mario Balotelli, both substitutes), to make it play more in the Italian way than ever, though with amazing versatility and a pragmatism worth of admiration of the coach who maintains that he is interested only “to win” and for that purpose he uses everything that is useful to obtain that objective.
Mourinho was making the team shine, reinforcing the final triangle, empowering the Brazilian Julio César perhaps as the best goalkeeper of the World, and with an excellent and sure central duple with Lucio y Walter Samuel, a midfield of great physical display commanded by Esteban Cambiasso and Thiago Motta, he availed himself of having one of the best midfielders of Europe as it is the Dutch Wesley Sneijder, and two attackers of exception as Samuel Eto’o and particularly Diego Milito.
Though he was critized for his speculative game in the Camp Nou vs the powerful and up to the moment unbeatable Barcelona of Guardiola and Messi, Mourinho started to be watched with sympathy by the directives of the Real Madrid when he won the Catalonians and especially when he generated their grudge and having left the whites at the door of another trophy of the league in Spain, they went to seek for him with decision.
It calls the attention, however, the sincerity of a Mourhinho who knows that he is indisputable today that he has nothing to lose and he told the best of sentence “I know the history of the Real Madrid but I do not know its philosophy”. This definition is perfect because includes an enormous interrogative sign on the whites’ directives.
Is the Real Madrid prepared to appeal to such vertical tactic as the Inter, resigning the dressy football they are accustomed to see in Bernabeu, only to win a trophy and defeat, or at least reach the Barcelona? Will the Real Madrid fan tolerate a succession of spectacles based on the pragmatism only to end the bad luck?
The response does not seem far because this situation has been already lived in the club and not too far away. When Fabio Capello returned from Italy to win again a league and he did it, at any rate he was fired when the season closed. The explanation given then by the directives was that the fans not only want to win but to do it in an elegant manner and went to look for Bernd Schuster.
Now, it seems that things have changed in the Real Madrid and once again the good game obtained with the
Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini who in less than a year advanced in diagonal an positioned very near Barcelona to appeal for pragmatism.
Will Mourinho be able to perform in peace a job as the brilliant one in the Inter with which he remained with the League, the Italian Cup and the Champions? It does not seem easy and the first doubt came from the lips of the Portuguese, who not even in times of euphoria leaves aside the good sense.
